R & D has been critical to Deloro Stellite for almost 100 years, as the company is  dedicated to providing the best products and services.

Its team of materials engineers constantly works with customers on selecting appropriate alloys and processes to make the products to solve wear and corrosion problems.  Sometimes, new or customized alloys are developed to better meet the requirements.  Proprietary process development and improvement projects are on-going at all times at every division of Deloro Stellite.

Deloro Stellites’ engineers use not only internal but also external resources to do research and development.  The organisation has partnered with many universities and research institutes all over the world.  The current partners are Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Carleton University (Canada), National Research Council of Canada, Texas A&M University, and West Virginia University.  Past partners include, University of Birmingham, University of Sheffield, UMIST, Leeds University, and TWI in U.K., Pennsylvania State University in U.S., Toronto University in Canada, and Xiang Tan University in China.
