CB Wire For Pulp Maker

Our client is one of the leading suppliers of systems, equipment and services for the production of fiber and pulp for all grades of paper/board/tissue.

Our client was facing an issue with welding deposits from a competitor’s wire not remaining stable and uniform along the ribbed body of the Paper Mulching machine, causing variations in deposits. It meant that the machine had to be stopped, the welding re-deposited uniformly, and this effectively meant an overall increase in the downtime.

With many years of experience and expertise, our specialist visited the client’s site and worked closely with engineers and machine operators to get a first hand view of the process and application. Live tests and demonstrations were carried out with Deloro Stellite’s Stellite® 21 wire and the competitor’s wire. The client noticed a great improvement in the results when using the Deloro Stellite product. The client also found that the “unstable and excess-spatter deposits” problem had been eliminated. This meant that the customer now could have a much greater productive run before the welding needed to be redeposited.

The Deloro Stellite product expert worked with the client’s engineers to improve upon the tools being used, so that yields could be maximized. The same tools were also brought back to our Swindon production site and tested internally to replicate and prove the results. Hence, the customer benefited not only from using a superior quality product but also increased the overall efficiency of his machinery by deploying the right tool recommended by our expert.

Deloro Stellite’s commitment and responsiveness to the customer does not stop at simply providing the right product, but goes beyond to provide a collaborative solution for our clients wear related problems.
